The following gallery is of pictures that I took at Mid-Ohio Con 2011, in Columbus, Ohio, on October 22, 2011. It has been a few years since I have been to any type of convention (the last one actually being Mid-Ohio Con 2009). However, a few friends of mine wanted to go this year because they were dressing up as “Ghostbusters”. That idea sounded pretty awesome to me, so I decided to join them (although I was not going as a “Ghostbuster” – no extra money for that this year).
I spent the day following them around, taking pictures of them as they posed for other people, and a lot of times when they just weren’t expecting it. I got my new camera last year, and I thought that this would make a great event to see what I could do with it. So, I decided to pick out a few from that Saturday, and upload them here.
Now, keep in mind, these photos are far from anything professional. A lot of the pictures were just quick snaps, with no real thought behind them. Some of them turned out really well for no thought, but also because of that, there are a few that are blurred, full of noise, and poorly composed. But hey, the day was about the people and the event, not how well I can make the pictures look.
By the way, all the pictures were taken with my Nikon D3000. Also, the metdata has been preserved in these pictures.
